How do you do volume control? in AA you just high light a specific part on your track and right click and go to edit then adjut your volume by dBs. I know in Reaper you can mark your specific locations then split your marker points and then right click then click on track and select the volume but when I do this and try to raise or lower the using the bar graph on the specific part I'm trying to adjust the volume it stays the same on play back, nothing happens. So what am I missing?

RE: Volume control

I like using the Volume (Pre-FX) envelope. It shows your changes on the waveform in real-time :D (P.S. ex-Audition user here)

RE: Volume control

If you prefer to keep on splitting items and dont like to use envelopes, every item's volume can be adjusted by hovering the mouse over the top of the item. The mousepointer will change to an double-sided arrow, allowing you to pull down the relative volume. Yves
