I've been a member. I did not make any money from my songs, but I joined at a time when their membership rates were discounted and I attended their Road Rally conventions and learned a lot, so I definitely feel I got my money's worth. If you live in Los Angeles and can attend the Road Rally, that is something to consider. Something else to consider: in my experience, to make the most of your membership, you need to be prolific and able to compose, arrange, and record quickly. Your songs need to be fantastic. Average, or even very, very good songs will not cut it. If someone is considering joining, I would recommend having at least a dozen GREAT, well crafted songs ready to send out tomorrow. If you join, you'll get notifications such as "song in such-and-such genre needed in a two weeks". If you can crank out great quality music on such short notice, it may be worth investigating. If you have a full time job and a family, music production is more a weekend/evening hobby than something you do full time, and it takes you longer to complete your music projects, it is probably going to be less beneficial to join.
