You have lots of room there vegadark....how's that speak and spell working for ya? i'm not sure i know that one. i would love to have an unfinished basement to make into anything i wanted. thanks, rob
I've modified that speak and spell with the switches and button you can see in that photo... It spits out some really crazy sounds now. It's not useful for most stuff, but I've found a couple of places to put it in a mix.
I'm in the process of moving out of my spare bedroom into my new converted garage studio . It's a 20' by 14' area..I'm trying to decide whether to put my comp.monitor in the corner with a corner style comp desk with monitors on either side or pick one of the flat walls..any recommendations on monitor placement (either side of a corner or both on the same wall)thanks BB Musician's friend is running a good deal ..$69.. for the small auralex room treatment pack

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has pictures or diagrams of their studio setup. Since I am going to be setup in quite a small space (12 x12) it would be nice to get some ideas. BTW, thanks to everyone ofr their gear recommendations on another thread. Rob

I had the same option. I decided to build a room within the garage room this gave me less room but more contol over sound. I used foam treatment on 65% of the room and carpeted the floor. I also use a special acoustic material draped to cover the ceiling. You should place it at the 14' wall and not in the corner. But don't butt it up against the wall but make sure to leave space behind the monitors.
