Recording Audio Question

when I record audio my audio file wave is real small in track record area, is there a way to make in look larger in order to see it look like a wave form instead of l long line. can't see any amplitude like other softwares. hope you can help, thanks in advance.

If I understand you right, it seems like you might be recording at too low a level. You can hover the mouse over the top edge of the media item (it turns to a double-headed arrow) then hold shift, click and drag up to increase it .... but really if I were you I would be checking recording levels. PS - first post I see .. welcome here! :D PPS if this doesn't help, it would help me if you can post a screen shot of what it looks like ...

Also, if you just want the waveform to be bigger within the track view, hit shift-up-arrow a few times while that track is selected. shift-down-arrow will reduce the size of the waveform (won't go smaller than unity gain, though). This does NOT affect the volume of the track...just the size of the waveform display. Scott
