Creating Impulse Responses with ReaVerb?

Hi there, a couple of days ago I was bored, so I tried to make some IR files from IKs T-RackS Pultec with ReaVerb, "just for the sheer hell of it". Found nothing about it on the forums, the Wiki just shows question marks... hm. So I just went ahead and tried it. I created a test tone within ReaVerb, imported it into Wavosaur, processed the test tone with the IK Pultec and then used ReaVerb again to create an Impulse Response from the clean test tone file and the Pultec-ed test tone file via the "Deconvolve" button. I tried putting the IK Pultec with the settings I used on the test tone and ReaVerb with the loaded Pultec impulse file in the track's fx chain and dis-/enable the two effects... but there's absolutely NO similarity. No matter what parameters I tweak in ReaVerb, no matter what sample rate etc. I use..., unrelated to FFT size or other options... The IK Pultec sounds as it should, the ReaVerb with the ReaVerb-created IR of the IK Pultec sounds like ... well, crap TBH. Anybody out there that has some information on that subject? Or hints towards what I might be doing wrong? Cheers, Rob
