Hey guys - I organize a local Meetup for musicians that do home recording. We're looking for a website that will allow us to create a private group to upload/share and comment on different tracks we're working on. I checked out SoundCloud, and love the concept, but you can't restrict membership to a group you create. Anyone out there have experience with this, and found a good online solution? Thanks. Dave

would be great for collaborations. They basically have a DAW that runs in your web browser.. you can either record with it.. or import WAV files that you have recorded on your computer. But there DAW would be good enough for ideas and concept building of a song with friends. You can have your friends join and then start a "Project" that is private so only people in it can listen and comment. As far as a music area to restrict who listens and comments on your tracks which is LIKE soundcloud... I dunno... I'm surprised they don't have a "Private" mode which only allows people with the link to listen.

Thanks, guys. I'm really just looking for a place to upload audio files for others to hear and comment on. And I need to be able to create an invite-only group to do so. In SoundCloud, you can create a group, but anyone can join it. I will definitely check out Indaba.

You may want to check out this "Lilac Writer". (yeah..stupid name)...but, it's a great song writing resource. It allows you to colab with others simply by giving them the password....then they can make revisions and comments and such.
