Yeah, Tonelux for me. ;) I love the default theme, its just about perfect for me, but i'll take a good look and see if theres anything i can suggest. :)
RE: Theme Requests Wanted! Super Mega Poll Included!
I am interested in themes with minimal clutter - where buttons not indicating anything are not visible until hovered over. I want a theme where the track NAME is very readable - but which can be narrow to display many many tracks in the TCP I have little interest in the MCP at all... I am very interested in different layouts... for me its all about clearly displaying all information, and otherwise staying out of the way.

It's a combination of things that I look for in themes but it does boil down to this goal, which is achievable in quite a few different ways it seems. Make me work less. That means less searching for GUI elements, but can also include a learning period. The default theme for example makes it very easy to locate the "FX" button on the TCP and MCP Elements required to be accessible for a particular job need to be placed to be easily found. That's the reason I chose the More layout options for existing themes option, which can also mean optimized layouts for specific tasks. And each task prioritizes elements as well, which is a good guide to building job-specific layouts in whatever style you're currently working in. Some job descriptions.Single-track recording (1 performer/instrument at a time) Multitrack recording (live/practice band, church choirs, orchestras, live shows) Input selection is often done in the Routing matrix and checked in the MCP. Small TCP heights for the actual recording for confidence. Wedge and headphone mixes done in the MCP. Reaper is as of yet too dumb to flip sends to the main fader which could add additional opportunities for faster live mixing work on any primitive control surface or mouse setup. Single track editing No recording facilities necessary at all. Multitrack Editing (drums, classical music, conforms of picture recuts in post production) No recording facilities necessary. Music Mixing No recording facilities necessary. I'd add feature requests for simple stuff like send access on the TCP and coloured this and that, but this is basic stuff. Automation-heavy mixing No recording facilities necessary.Automation states need to be glancable. One day there might be a commit button here. That is kinda the approach I'd start with.

I voted simpler themes...less eyecandy, more clarity. I know one does not exclude the other, but still. I have been on the default-themes since 2.something. No matter what theme i try, i keep going back. They just work. Thats the most important thing. Anyway, more layouts would be nice. Especially narrower MCP-tracks.
RE: Theme Requests Wanted! Super Mega Poll Included!
Reaper is such a Great DAW (Best I've Used) but I think there should be a new theme that really showcases it . To me , It feels like sacrilege making it look like it's competitors. So I would say , How about an Awesome revamp of the default theme ? Same basic setup but with nice 3D looking faders/knobs , Digital looking transport clock, shadowing . I've tried a lot of themes and all have parts that look really great but I feel that most start to take away from the Functionality of the program or cause issues with graphics . There is So much Great Talent on this Forum . I'd like to see something simple but beautiful that could be the New Default. As for Functionality: I'd say , Start from the view point of a new user. Clean up interface and start with the 1st thing you'd want to do when you open the program, 2nd....3rd...ect. Little dumb stuff like a big button that says "NEW TRACK" can be welcoming to new users. Lets say you click it and you get a box that prompts you to enter "track name","track input","rec enable" ,ect. Or default tabs like [RECORD] , [EDIT] , [MIX] , [BURN], that are preset to create a simple fluid workflow . Just My 2 Cents ;) (Much Thanks To All For Your Help And Support)

Simpler, more 'clean' themes. SUBTRACT don't ADD. You can do so much customizing in REAPER, I just want a really simple interface that doesn't get in the way, but looks nice and balanced. Not a lot of colors to separate objects - I like highlights and more of a line border vs garish colors. No 3D themes that look like 'hardware' - I don't need that type of aesthetic, it just gets in my way and wastes too many pixels (nothing against people who LOVE that type of theme, just not my bag). See my "Project P5 Theme" It may not be for everyone (colors, etc) but I've always liked Project for it simplicity and colors. And I normally like dark themes...
