RE: Is Reaper a standalone?

It might not be the case here, but having just reinstalled Pro Tools LE and Cubase LE I can understand why someone would hesitate installing Reaper. It would be cool to have a youtube video of a new reaper install to help ease peoples anxiety.

Hmm... more tutorial videos like Pipeline's that illustrate a few basics might be fun. And I do have screen recording software...

Can't quite make out what you loaded, Is that one of the songs downloaded with Reaper? If so,it is compressed and will trip over itself as it try's to uncompress and play at the same time. Go to the top and find the "Preference's page,(under options) There you can set up your in's/out's and many other important stuff. Bardo

So, apart from it not working "out of the box" as it were, I did happen to notice the lump of data that was dropped onto my computer was a massive........12.63MB??? Is that the whole thing? Ableton "Lite" is 214MB? It's good job questions are wonderful things. Well, I'm certainly impressed with the way it looks. I think it goes with the wild garlic quite well. :-/

Ok, I'm in preferences, but I see no button that says "press to uncompress Brad sucks" to stop it falling over itself. Sorry. :(
