Time signature change

MessageAuthor

Ah yes, another question seeking help from the gurus - I have a project in 4/4 time that I want to change to 2/4 time for just one measure. I inserted a time signature marker at that measure, selected 2/4, and then the following measure set another time signature marker and set it back to 4/4. Unfortunately this didn't work as the measure I wanted to be 2/4 didn't change. What did I do wrong? Thanks.

RE: Time signature change

Next to your time signature marker does it indicate the BPM and 2/4? Right click your marker, choose edit and make sure that the little check box to the left of "Set Time Signature" is checked and that it shows the new time sig as 2/4. This box is really easy to miss, so I am going to guess that is the issue, but have a look and report back.

Beaten to it again. Everyone seems to be a bit quicker off the mark than me tonight. Anyway here's a picture, being as I'd uploaded it while I was writing my post. Pete

Thanks guys. Yeah, I made sure that box was ticked but it still didn't change. The marker read that it was 2/4 but it didn't play back as such. Also, the measure itself still showed 4 beats instead of 2... I'll have to give it a go again, maybe it glitched somewhere.
