Is there a loop type software for the Mac / ProTools LE Digi 001/ that is similar to the ACID Pro system for the PC. Can you run it On the Mac with Virtual PC and inport the .Wav files?

RE: ACID Drum Loops

I've heard that running acid through virtual pc might not be a good idea. It says in the 001 manual, that 5.0 LE can import wav files. If Rex files can be changed to wav files in a pc, then there should be no problem. Once you've imported the file into 5.0 LE, you'll be able to use time compression/expansion to alter it to a certain extent, but probably not too much before the pitch will change. Anyone at Digi, care to comment? haze

RE: ACID Drum Loops

i have the same question. can't i just buy the loop cds that sonic foundry puts out, import the .wav files into PTLE (running on a mac just to be clear) and then deal (or not deal) with the issue of BPM after the beat has been successfully imported? i just want some cool drum loops to compose with, i'm not trying anything super fancy like linking them up with a real drummer. doable? matthewinphilly

I am having a hard time importing the wav files into the DIGI 001. Does anyone have any bright ideas?
