Hi, I keep on getting the error that is shown in my atttatchment. Do you know why DVD Shrink is giving me this error. The error only happens when I was trying too backup my Cellular CD. It has not happened on any other thing I have backed up, only Cellular. If any of you guys know the answer, please drop me a line. Thanks, Raistlin

RE: DVD Shrink Error

Aww, okay... I didn't know if I had anything to do with causing the error. Didn't know if I was doing something wrong. Thanks for the heads up. Raistlin

RE: DVD Shrink Error

Thank you for your reply, bluetach, I will try out what the thread says. I have one other question about movie editing. I ran DVD Shrink and shrinked the file too a DVD +-5 disc. Whenever I did that, I sharank it down too 4.38 GB's. I then try too burn the DVD, but get an error message saying the image is too big too back up. I have a DVD disc that backs up a 4.7 GB DVD. You know why Nero and Ultra ISO is not able too back up the movie onto a DVD? Raistlin

What custom size did you have? 4.38Gb is right on - and possibly over - the limit. I use 4477Mb, DVD Shrink's default is 4464 (which is 4.35Gb). A DVD+R is 4.377Gb and a -R is 4.383Gb Regards

RE: DVD Shrink Error

It's just a trick Raistlin. 4.7"Gb" is really, as mrbass has pointed out, 4.7 billion bytes, or 4.7 G bytes (as opposed to Gb). This capacity works out to be 4.37Gb (real Gb that is). To ramp it up further, they have the temerity to call it a "DVD-5" (implying 5Gb - as you can see it's nowhere near 5). Almost unfair labelling, if you ask me. Marketers!!!! Regards

RE: DVD Shrink Error

Agreed, Couldn't the company be sued for that? I mean they are telling the consumers that the disc is 4.7GB', but is only giving 4.37GB's. It is similiar too how harddrives work. The capacity is 250GB's, though it tells me that I have 207GB's used and 25.3GB's unused... These are things people need too fix. Though I can't wait for the new DVDs that could possibly hold a terabyte. :) The blue laser... Raistlin
