I just posted a similar question about two weeks ago. Search the duc for posting by me within the last month and you will find a thread about this.

RE: Setting Up PT to a Headphone Amp Foldback

Lots of info up already, but here's a quick guide. I send my main(DIGI002) L/R outs to a Behringer 4700 headphone amp. This unit has 4 sections and each gets the stereo signal(main mix). The 470 also has an aux input in each section and I send pairs of analog outputs from my 002 into these as needed so any player can have "more me" in their phones. That feature is often not needed for 1 person as you can simply push up the slider on the record channel(s) for more level without affecting the record level. Since 6.4, that's +12db which is plenty for 1 person doing a vocal or instrument overdub. The "more me" routine will come in handy when recording a band where each person wants a different mix. You need a computer that is up to the task of working the number of tracks you run with a low buffer setting as you can't use an aux send on a record-enabled track in Low Latency mode).

EASY: Take your outputs on the 002 ( 5,6,7,8) Make 4 MONO MASTER FADERS and assign them 5,6,7,8 for the outs. Set them to 0db. Name the 4 faders (VOX, Guitar, BASS, Drums, etc) Take the GUITAR TRACK: SEND to output 6 and a fader will come up. Set that to something low? Sat -15db to start. Set that the PRE and that way you can adjust the tracks without blowing their ears out. Do this for each track you want and then run the outs to the AUX ins of the headpphone pre. VOX - SEND OUT 4 GUITAR - SEND OUT 5 BASS - OUT 7 DRUMS - OUT 8 understand. - Doc
