Can't get Vob Edit to work

Hello, not sure If I am in the right section. I am trying to do a "Join Clips" within Vobedit as soon the box comes up with First-Vob ID and I want to change it to 4 or whatever, nothing happens. According to some manuals, it should Save the Vob Files with a new Vob-ID. Am I missing something? This is the site where I got the info Thanks so much

The Vob files are named incorrectly. Make sure you have renamed then first. For joining clips they must look like this: VTS_01_001.VOB VTS_01_002.VOB ...
