(cd.a ) how do I convert it to a wave file

My friend asked if I would master a cd project he finished recording (he did all the work on a Boss digital 8 track) and wants me to master it in wavelab He then made a copy of the mix onto his audio cd burner thus creating a cd.a that wavelab wont read. i cant even get my Nero burn software to convert it to a wave file either. I realize its now copyright protected, but is there any way around this? thanks

I'm surprised that Wavelab doesn't have an "extract audio from CD" function, I thought most editors allowed you to do that. I use SoundForge which has it under the 'Tools' menu at the top. You may want to double-check, perhpaps that feature went overlooked? You can do this in Acid 3.0 as well. Good luck pk

I know this sounds stupid but, after you open the cda are you saving as....wav ? A lot of the loops and things I get from Loopology were written as cel or cda for cool edit. Pro Tools won't read them till I open them with cool edit then save them as a wav specifically a stereo PCM wav. Of course I may be off track
