Hi all hope somone can help us. We need to change the bonnet hinges Is this possable without removing front wings.Am concerned about my fingers and thos springs.Both hinges bent in a freak accident 5 mins after buying the car terrifing loosing the road like that. Any help appricieted thanks RE posted realy need help with this one theese are big springs.Also how hard are the tailgate stays to change..........

Can't help with the bonnet hinges, but the tailgate struts are straight forward enough once you remove the trim..The haynes manual has a good explanation if you can beg, steal or borrow one. German Swedish French (GSF) do reasonably priced replacement struts. Be sure to support the tailgate with a prop before you remove the struts, one isn't enough to hold it up!

From looking at the repair info I have to hand, it would appear that to replace the bonnet hinges you will have to remove the outer wings, although these just bolt onto the car.

yup, you do have to remove the wings, the spring isn't too scary, but it is VERY strong and difficult to get off. Take it off at the door end because its just hooked on there whereas on the other end its well wrapped round. That way it won't fly off and it anyone/thing. See this post for wing removal:
