hey there, i want to encode some of my new dvds with gknot. i used it last time a year ago or so... i want to use the new xvid 1.2 (127) and the new dgindex 1.4.7 final... but everytime i'm starting the encoding process, vdubmod opens, you see the codec panel blinking up and then all crashes... is it cause of new xvid or dgindex or what is wrong here? i'm not using any special settings, filters or something else... does anybody made the same experiences? where is the fault i made?
gknot crashes and vdubmod also... i tested also just to load the avs script in vdubmod and start encoding, same problem, it crashed... seems to be xvid, cause when i use another codec for compression, it works (e.g. divx 3 or 6...) any ideas?
Does XviD 1.1 work? 1.2 introduced multi-processor support as main feature. Do you have a HT/dual core/multi cpu system to take advantage of this? If not, "number of threads" in "Other options" should always be set to 0.
@john: yes it is set automatically to 0 and i cannot change it (have an amd xp 2400+) @jggimi: yeah, i'm searching of that... but gknot does not produce one where any hint is found... does vdubmod produce one?
ok, xvid 1.1 works... curious...i'll stick to that...
