Either marquee select them (right click and drag) and then move them around, or click one then select the others while holding control and move them around.

It shouldn't be moving the item contents unless you are holding alt (or option on OSX). Just regular clicking and dragging should move whole items. After you have them all selected make sure you are not holding any modifier keys when trying to drag the items.

RE: Moving Multiple Regions?

I just tried every conceivable way to do it and the region header thingys where you put the title of the region DOES NOT move with the contents of the regionS (plural). My question is "how to move multiple regions in their entirety including their title headers". It works fine to double click a single region title header and drag it complete anywhere, so how to do this same procedure with multiple regions?? I cant figure out how to do it on a Mac either.

To be clear, you are talking about simply doing this right? All I am doing is selecting all of the items, then clicking one of them and dragging it around, while drinking a beer with my left hand!

RE: Moving Multiple Regions?

I think he talks about what Reaper calls regions (not items). If so, not possible to move multiple regions afaik. Can't you drag them one by one (surely tedious, but should work) Or you could insert or delete empty space in your arrangement (there are actions for this) to move the regions.

Wow I am fucking dumb. Sorry, huge terminology slip up, blame Pro Tools for embedding the region thing in my brain.

RE: Moving Multiple Regions?

hi! i'm trying the same thing, to move multiple regions on the timeline. in the latest version 3.68, i read some changes have been made to regions. is it now possible to move multiple regions instead one after the other which is very tedious? thanks
