sentricyphen, I presume you mean splitting the movie for equal filesize on both DVD-R's (?) First pass, I would look at the movie's timestamp versus chapter number in IfoEdit. Your going to get pretty close if you split at half the movie's timestamp point, provided it uses about the same average bitrate for the first and second halves. More complicated but much more accurate, in Windows Explorer or whatever, highlite the main movie's VOB's to find out the movie's total filesize. Then starting with the _0.VOB, use <Ctrl>+click to highlite successive VOB's until you are now greater than half. From that you will know which VOB will have to split to get to the half point. Open DVD2AVI, hit <F6> for statistics, open that VOB (then delete any other VOBS that it wants to open), and slowly drag the cursor from left to right to identify all of the VOB ID/Cell ID's used. Roughly, if your half file size is one-third of the way into that VOB (just for example), then slide the cursor one-third of the way over. Read the VOB ID/Cell ID. Get back to IfoEdit and for that title, just find the corresponding VOB ID/Cell ID and that's where you want to split. Using this method, I can split to within about 50-100 MB of where I want to be. Good luck! leisuredoc ;)

sentricyphen, What I described, other than finding the exact split point, is in the Doom9 guides for splitting a DVD-9 into two DVD-5's. After splitting, you have to open each one's VIDEO_TS.IFO and "Get VTS Sectors." On the second DVD, if you want, you can have it immediately start the movie at the split. Go to the guides (I prefer to click "Document Overview", which is kind of a site map) and select "DVD-R Stuff" then "DVD-9 to 2x DVD-R guide". Explore, discover, chart new lands! leisuredoc :p
