G4, Mbox, and USB midi interface?

Let's say you have a G4 with 2 usb inputs. One of those inputs is used for your keyboard. The other is used to connect and power your Mbox. Where do you hook up your midi interface if its usb powered also?

plug your USB midi interface into the other usb port on your keyboard. it works.

Now, let's say you have a powerbook(and usb mouse), what do u do then ? 1. digi says the mbox has to be plugged directly into the usb port. 2. companies who make usb midi interfaces say never ever to plug the interface into a usb hub. Seems to me that the only solution is to use a hub for the midi interface & mouse. I suppose the timing on my usb midi interface(midiman 2x2) is crap anyhow, so it probably won't matter much.

this mini hub is working for me: (Mbox into the Ti/USB directly) Ti/Mbox/Oxygen/mini mouse/scanner/printer
