Using Digi 001 with iMac

Does anyone know if Digi 001 (the PCI card) can be used with an iMac? I know that the iMac does not have a PCI slot, however, I was wondering if there was any way around this that anyone is aware of. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

No, there is no way to use the 001 on an iMac just for the reason you mentioned. There is no way to install the PCI card, and therefore connect the 001 interface, into an iMac. Jon Connolly Digidesign Product Specialist

Thanks for the information. I think it's strange that the PCI can be converted to USB... But I've never seen anything that will convert USB to a housing for a PCI card. Logically, if the PCI can be converted to USB, shouldn't the inverse be possible?
