Now this starts to sound promising :-)

For those of you that have heard of the Receptor - for Live or Studio use - this is a great idea. Read the White Paper on UniWire. Even though Receptor is VST, a UniWire plugin on RTAS would be great. Cheers, // J

Hi! Yes I know maybe a bit off topic but worth following - or maybe even getting :-) Yes I saw that RTAS was on the way too :-) I think using an established infrastucture for communication (TCP/IP over Ethernet) is a good way to start - if more gadget makers out there will join to the specs. The infrastructure is already here in almost any building ... mLan is really a different thing to this. -- Imagine connecting anything on a "computer network" - MicPres, Variax Guitars, DAWs, synthesizers, Controllers well just anything - add wireless for some applications. The UniWire plugin-concept is great too - a "virtual-virtual" plugin instantiated on your host application - PDC - and audio as well as MIDI is managed as if it was a local plugin - extend the power as you need - dont forget the live environment stability and features for those who gigs too.

latency would be a worry especially with PT LE. what type of computer is in this thing anyway? bit unsure about relying on a computer to process audio in real time with only TCP/IP connection, will be interesting to see how it works good to see units able to be used live and in the studio, it doesnt realy have enough analogue i/o for live use. is the ADAT for input or output? im interested in how well it can run multiple reverbs and delays
