Joining two avi's with vdub problem

Try NanDub instead of VirtualDub in the first place. If that doesn't succeed, you've got to extract the audio from every file, reencode it in CBR mode, remux the CBR versions with their respective videos, and then append them using VD or ND.

No luck with nandub either, I managed to find an amazingly simple sollution however :D Load the file in Vdub then rewrite the file, under video "direct stream copy", under audio "full processing mode" and "compression" mpeg layer 3...bitrate and sampel freq You want, You have to have the fraunhofer professional codec installed ! do this with every single file, then join and adjust audio sync as usual. I could not hear any difference in audio quality :) JR

...you've solved your problem: it might have worked with avisynth withour reencoding the audio... doing it this way should be just about the last thing because 1) it's degrading the audioquality, even if you can't hear it clearly, there might be some problems with low frequencies or so. 2) it's definitely timeconsuming! anyway just an idea regads steVe
