Thanks for the heads-up mate. Seems a shame that it's the customer services that always lets these places down. No doubt another outfit that concentrates on getting stuff out of the door at the lowest price rather than repeat business.

Odd, I've used them several times, they've always been quick and the one time there was a minor problem they were very responsive and answered my questions to my complete satisfaction. Sorry to hear you had a problem with them. Cheers, John

I must admit I have not used them yet but this is the first negative thing I have heard about them. I have only ever heard good things about the service they provide.

I'm not sure how constructive this input is, but everything I've bought was delivered quickly and to order. All the bits I've ordered have been genuine Volvo. I take it the Grill is not genuine? I know this should make no difference whatsoever, but if their supplier is varying the product, how are PFV to know? I hope you get the problem resolved quickly but think to put a blanket "beware of PFV" is a little knee-jerk.

RE: PFS Parts for Volvo online Buyers Beware !!!

As one of the proprietors of PFS, I think we need to get a few facts here. Firstly of course we are sorry that there was a problem with the supplied part, but unfortunately any business is going to occasionally have a problem, We do make a big effort to provide the best customer service we can, and we did offer you a refund as soon as you first brought up the problem, which you declined at the time, sorry but I don't see how we can do much more than that. Standard return policy, is that parts are returned prior to replacements being sent out. I think you will be lucky to find anybody that sends free parts out in the post. Several years back when the company was first started we did do this in good faith, and the amount of times that original parts did not get returned to us meant that we had to put a complete stop to this practice. The only reason that we may have suggested that you purchase a replacement prior to returning your old grille for a pre-agreed refund was so that you would have a grille on your car, this is entirely your decision, but you have to understand that we will not send parts out free of charge under any circumstances. We always refund customers return costs when parts we have supplied are faulty, so customers are certainly not left out of pocket in any way. Going back to the Forge dump valves, I do not recall any specific details, however Forge do not supply fitting instructions with any of these and we certainly do not state that they do.....

Excuses after 4 months of waiting - a poor show - good faith went out the window when I was made to wait 4 months....could have been restored but instead was ignored. I would paste specific mails sent to and fro re DV fitting instructions confirming empty promises again, but I'd waste my time further.... A sad story - once bitten and all that - hopefully not inidcative of service offered - bad luck or poor customer service you decide. I wouldn't spend 4 months waiting for a replacment if I was going to mess PFV around would I !

T4Viper, I would put this down to bad luck, possible the person/people you dealt with were new to the company or from a different department and needed trained properly. In reply to Paul_W. Yep, standard return policy for almost every company in the world, send it back and we will send a replacement. The only part that is not standard is that you will pay for the return if the part is faulty, not many companies say they will do this.
