2 gig file encoding

Hi all, I'm trying to encode an avi movie that is alittle over 2.6 gigs in size so as to burn it to DVD-r. I'm using DVD2AVI (with CCE as the encoder) and running into problems loading the file into DVD2AVI. I'm guessing it's tje 2 gig limit problem that I've read about on these pages. Cam anyone point me in the right direction or is this something that can't be done? Any help would be greatly appricaiated, still very new at this!

RE: 2 gig file encoding

Thanks to all who read my post (even if no one answered) but I found that if I save the two parts whith the "save as old format avi" it produced only one file and the audio stayed in sync!
