Pro Tools LE 96 kHz?

Peter, some answers digi001 has 18 in/outs (8 analog, 8 through adat-lightpipe, 2 spdif) and integrated midi in/out. Mbox has a max of 2 in/out 2) no, ptle wont go any higher then 48Khz/24 bit. Also....ptle wont work together with other hardware. Only digidesign stuff is recognized.... 3) cant really help you there....i only use protools

Using ASIO drivers, the Digi001 will recognize Peak, Deck and Nuendo. There are probably others but those are the few I've tried.

Have a close look at Logic first. I prefer ProTools myself, but there are limitations and sacrifices you make in return for the ease of use of the 001.

You should also take a look at Digital Performer (DP3). The soft is pretty good (its "arborescence" is a little complex though which make it harder to understand than PT) and the hardware seems great (it provides the 96KHz you seem to be looking for, and uses Firewire=>easy to plug and de-plug, no PCI overload risk). My thoughts on the subject... Every piece of software, except Pro Tools LE, permits in excess of 24 audio tracks. But, no other software is as straight forward as Pro Tools. What are your needs? Phil (...who's praying every night for extra tracks).
