Amount of DSP delay in samples...

Advertising

MessageAuthor

I had posted this question in another topic, but no response... So...Does anyone know how accurate the read-out is on the little display by the track fader (mix window). If you click on it it'll change to (supposedly) tell you the amount of DSP delay (in samples) on that track...Anyway, how accurate is it? I've gotten some weird results sometimes (like: zero, etc.), so just wondering...

That number is suppose to be written into the software by the plugin manufacture, however, there does seem to be some grey area with some plugs (BF comes to mind). Waves and McDSP seem to be accurate.
