Running kind of lumpy?

Hey. My car is running a little lumpy at the moment and the performance is down. Having only had very basic cars before (predominantly old VWs) I'd ordinarily just change the spark plugs and leads and it'd be fine but I'm just interested to know if it's likely to be anything else on this? The car's a 1996 B5202S 10v Auto with a full Volvo service history and 115k so I'd ideally service it but I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment and can only afford to change the plugs and leads if that's what it may be. On the plus side it sounds like a V8... :sarcastic: Cheers, Adam.

I would start with cleaning the throttle body and then all the breather and vacuum hoses around there too. This clears most lumpy running problems. If yu have a flame trap filter (looks like a thimble when removed) chuck it away.
