Ok, I'm having a hard time being able to view the subtitles in Recode 2 made mp4 files (AVC), in other players other than Nero Showtime. I do have the haali filter installed, but it does not seem to be used in the filter chain. In graphedit it goes from the file to ffdshow filter then the audio/video render filters. It doesn't seem like the haali filter is being used at all. And I do have vobsub installed as well. Any help would be appreciated, and how would I make it so that the haali filter is used for mp4 files every time?
if the haali icon is displayed in the taskbar while playing the file, haali is used if not you need to find out what is used instead and uninstall/unregister it. or you need to give that filter a lower merit than haali, for how to do it :search: for how to find out what filter is used you will need to try unregistering every potential mp4 source filter you have on your system and try whether this changes things
Thanks for the help, but I found it. I test rendered the file with a prog called Insurgent. And I unregistered Nero's stuff that was holding Haali's filter back. Now my only problem is getting the subtitles to play. The vobsub icon is showing in the lower right, but I can't seem to turn the subtitles on to play. Any help would be appreciated for this new dilemma.
I would like to help you but I would like to know what software video player you are using! If it's Media Player Classic, you need to visit the players "Output" options and select WMR7 (Renderless) or WMR9 (Renderless).... Cheers
Hmm, still didn't work. And now my mkv files with subtitles in them are are showing twice.
