Logic Pro More Info

Hey. I couldn't reply to the other thread for some reason, but I found this: Logic Pro 6 features integrated support of ProTool HD systems. You can link the native signal processing of the computer with the DSP hardware of TDM systems via the optional Emagic System Bridge (ESB TDM). This combination of the native and TDM systems ensures that all available processing power is available for your use. ESB TDM also extends the functionality of the EXS24 by allowing it's insertion into Aux channels of the Logic Pro 6 TDM mixer. ____________________________________________ Also, I was wondering if you can use VST(1 or 2) plugins in Logic Pro. It's kind of confusing on the website. Like you can use VST plugins in Logic only if you're in OS 9 or something? I don't understand. Craig

Logic on OSX doesn't support VST plugins unless you buy a third party adapter from FxPansion. Logic only supports the Audio Unit plugin format on OSX, unless of couse you have TDM cards then you can run TDM plugins.

I just got done paying $400, for HD support. That's worse than a trip to Vegas. sm

I feel your pain. Instead of a souped up, apple redesigned and severly bug fixed Logic 7 (which I was kind of expecting after a year), we get the good old repackaging trick; give it a slightly different name, a number of sofinstruments that have already existed for ages, drop the price (pissing off people like you and me who have just shelved out for them full price) and bob's your uncle. Yup, that sounds like Emagic alright. Would you like fries with that? Joris

Did this future version look friendly and cleaner? Just curious...I think Logic is probably a very safe road to go as long as we know Apple is not going to abandon it....
