7.2 Bizarreness

This release just seems to have some unpredictable wiredness going on. I was in the midst of recording a VO when I looked up at the monitor to see a dialog box that (do my best to remember the wording) "volume not found" I had recorded on the same volume earlier this morning with no issues. I selected OK and checked Disk Allocation. I did not check the WB. I had plenty of space and tried again to see if I could record. Everything seemed fine, however, I could not stop recording. Not from ProControl transport, not from kbd, not from numeric keypad. The kbd was operational on other features in commands focus but not on Record. Could PT have gone into a record lock on it's own? I didn't think to check before I force quit PT. I somehow think it has to do with the Workspace Browser. I really think it's funky in 7.2

I had a somewhat similar experience. I ran out of voices, so I upped from 48 (1 DSP) to 96 (2 DSPs). When PT was ready again, it had a semi-freeze. I couldn't play/record/open transport bar/etc., but I could access the comments field. I wasn't able to access the menus either. After a restart PT was back to normal again. Strange...

Suddenly lost level on a mono aux track...mic input. About 80%. However the plugin inserted was showing full level, removed plug, tried another and had the same problem. Quit and restarted PT...same problem. Rebooted computer, same problem. Shut down computer again but this time I also turned off the 192. Waited 30 seconds, got everything up and running again and the problem was solved. Lots of other spooky stuff happening in 7.2 as well. Ghosts?

RE: 7.2 Bizarreness

Tonight I was printing out stems and exporting them for delivery. Specs were to be AIFF. From the same session I exported 6 AIFF files all with the same logo, all same extension (.aif). The 7th I noticed was a QT logo with an AIFF extension (aif) but the logo has "AIFC" When I went to change the name the logo changed to the digi AIFF logo. Is this a 7.2 or a 10.4.6 wierdness?
