I spoke to someone today who said they were using nuendo stuff with the new wavedriver. he got it because he was a rep for nuendo. it basically lets you use nuendo software with the 001. Nuendosoftware is cubase right?

s.d. finley , Cubase 5 works great with the Digi001. No problems at all. You will need the ASIO Digi 001 driver from Steinberg's site. My DAW: G4 400Mhz (AGP) 1 gig memory ATTO dual SCSI card IDE & SCSI HD's (7200 & 10,000rpm) Dual Monitors (ATI Rage AGP & PCI) CM's Motormix Miditime Piece AV Software: Pro Tools 5.1.1 Cubase 5 Reason 1.01 Rebirth 2.01 HALion 1.1 Hope this helps, Jahmontee
Thanks Jahmonte and Adam!!! I also installed Cubase on a seperate partition and system drive....I cannot get any audio to play back, and cubase does not see the 001 as the midi interface.....which is the ONLY reason i want to use cubase. I need to check the version of my asio driver. I am currently using PTLE 5.1. I will be messing w/ it some more when i get home... Thanks again! sdf
What is the latency with the ASIO 5.0 drivers? I haven't upgraded my 4.2 VST to 5.0 (VST/32 5.1 was just released, I believe) because the ASIO drivers (ASIO version 1.0 only) available at the time had 35ms of latency. So, the 5.0 ASIO/DirectIO driver is ASIO 2.0 compliant? Can you change the buffer size? In the earlier version it was fixed at 35ms and I believe 1024 samples. Can't you just create a totally separate extension set for Cubase? That's what I've done in the past without having to create a new partition.
