Help with Backing up files!

if you have a backup of the reaper project file and the corresponding audio files you should be good to go. if you use any midi tracks, the default setting has the midi info stored in the project file itself, so no worries there. however on a new hard drive you'll probably have to reinstall any third party plugin you might have been using in your projects. if reaper doesn't find your plugins it will leave them offline (and preserve their settings) until they are available again.

This thread may also be useful for now and in the future, The Maxtor software also works with other drives.

Just a thought. It really depends upon your own way of working but you might want to run MediaSweeper against your RPP files - it will show you where all your audio is located. Nothing worse than backing up everything on your working drive (say D) except the one piece of audio you dragged in from your Z drive which is now formatted. If your not sure that all your media that you used is where it should be then it can't hurt.
