if this is true...it wouldn't be too bad. derrow has always had the drive and brains to pull this off. one thing he lacked was money. 321 can now fund his program. we may have to pay for it, but if they get it to a point where you insert a dvd, answer a few "wizard" questions and an ISO file is spit out, i would pay some good money for that. whatever the "Big D" wants...i'm with him.

can one of the moderators please let us know if this is true or not? And if so, how does this affect Derrow dvdsplit and dvdburn. will he stop supporting them and therefore forces us to go and buy dvdxcopy?

i can say that i have dvdxcopy and for a simple process, all i have to do is hit 5 buttons total and i have perfect quality backups...on 2 discs of course...but hey when riteks are 0.83 each who can complain..thanks derrow...hopefully this will lead us to a new age here!
Given the current occupants of the white house and congress, I serious doubt if there will be any 'legalizing' of DVD backups. If fact, I predict there will be a move to a more a restrictive environment all in the name of intellectual property 'protection' (read corporate greed here). The corporate interests that 'own' the content and distribution channels have far to much influence for things to change in the near term. RM P.S. Derrow, all the best to you in your new endeavor. It will take a while, until I have fixed all their problems. They have really a mess up in the IFO creation/modification. I've already removed a few bugs, so now it gets much more usable, but there's still a lot to do. But when I've done all the fixes, it will be a kick-ass tool. After fixing all problems, I'm also planing to implement new features into DVDXCopy. If somebody has any special suggestions, lets hear them.
