Thanks for all the input, i'll try socket B5 although it will be next weekend before i get the chance. Regarding the horn i had initially thought the problem was at the sterring wheel but all was well, this is the most bizzarre electrical fault i have ever come accross: 1) The ground wire to the horn for some reason is permanently connected to ground. 2) The +12v to the horn is totally dead. It doesn't help that the Haynes manual says the wires to the horn should be yellow/black for ground and yellow/violet for +12v, and mine are black and yellow/red respectively!! Anyway to solve it i cut the black wire and spliced it to the yellow/black wire at the steering wheel, and then spliced the yellow/red wire from the horn to the yellow/violet wire going to the wash/wipe (which comes off the same fuse as the horn anyway). It works fine now but i'm still ****ed off because i have no idea what the cause of this stupid fault is! Cheers Mike
